Do we buy where you live?

Clever Key Group has bought houses from homeowners in 33 states since 2020. 5 of those have a full published guide with the local closing law and market figures we can source. Type your state or your city and we will answer in one line.

Coverage is statewide, so a small town in a listed state still counts.

33 states, listed in full below.

5 have a published guide. 28 more are states we buy in and have not written the guide for yet. 18 places are not on the list, and we name every one of them further down.

28 more states we buy in

We buy in these on the same terms: any condition, no repairs, no commissions, and you pick the closing date. What we have not published yet is a guide to the closing process and the market figures for each one, so this list gives you the state and the cities we work in and stops there. Blank is more useful than filler.

Where we have not opened yet

These are the 18 places that are not on the list above. We would rather name them than have you scroll for a state that was never going to be there.

The state line is rarely what decides it. What decides it is the property: its condition, what is owed against it, and how fast you need to be out. Send us the address and we will tell you either way, within one business day.

The fine print

What coverage actually means

Do you buy in every part of these 33 states?

In most of them, yes. Coverage is statewide rather than city by city, and the cities listed against each state are the largest markets in it rather than the limit of where we buy. Florida is the exception we publish: there we are focused on Jacksonville, Tampa, Orlando, Miami and Fort Lauderdale, along with their surrounding areas.

My city is not in the list under my state. Does that matter?

No. The city list is context, not a boundary. Send us the address and we will answer on the property rather than on the pin.

Why do only 5 states have a guide?

Because a guide is not a page of adjectives. Each one carries the state's closing law with the statute, who is allowed to conduct the closing, the transfer tax and who pays it, and metro market figures with the source and the month printed next to every number. We publish a state guide when we can source all of it. The other 28 are not there yet, and we would rather say that than pad them.

What does an offer look like once you know the state?

A cash offer on the house as it stands. No repairs, no cleaning, no showings, no agent commission, and you pick the closing date. The state only changes who conducts the closing and what the transfer tax is, and both of those are in the guide where we have written one.

Tell us where the house is

You do not need to work out whether we are established in your state. Give us the address and the condition and we will tell you what we can do, or tell you we cannot. Either answer beats guessing.
